ISTANBUL, (DHA) - Yildiz Technical University (YTU) brought together entrepreneurs, company executives, and technology enthusiasts with a street party held at its third campus, Maslak 1453. Participants enjoyed a pleasant evening with DJ performances and the serving of street delicacies.
The opening launch of the Startup House, a project realized as a result of the work carried out at the university's incubation center, was also held at the event named 'Street Party'. İsa Turgut İnci, Deputy General Manager of YTU Yildiz Technopark, provided information about both the new campus and their activities. He said, "Here, we offer serious office and infrastructure facilities. Moreover, we have also introduced YTU Startup House, where we have designed new-generation entrepreneurship programs. The same support provided in technoparks located throughout Turkey is available at our new campus. However, the difference here is that within Startup House, we have our foreign offices in Uzbekistan, Dubai, New York, and San Francisco, providing physical infrastructure and relevant networking opportunities that extend to all corners of the world."
FINANCIAL SUPPORT FOR ENTREPRENEURS
İnci also added, "Furthermore, we have established our own venture capital investment partnership for early-stage entrepreneurs. We have established a large fund in collaboration with Halk Bank, Turk Telekom, and Kalyon Holding, where we will have a capital exceeding 150 million TL. Within this context, we will also offer the opportunity for Startup House entrepreneurs to invest in this fund. This way, we will have taken the first step in new-generation entrepreneurship programs here. It will be a great journey that extends from Maslak to Europe and America, at the heart of the business world."
"TODAY WE ARE ON THE STREET, TOMORROW ON THE WORLD STAGE"
İnci emphasized that entrepreneurs of all ages will be supported, saying, "With the national technology initiative, tremendous potential for an entrepreneurship ecosystem has emerged, extending from ages 0-6 to 6-12. As seen in the existing TEKNOFEST competitions, it has now been confirmed that everyone, from 7 to 70, has a role in the entrepreneurship ecosystem. In line with the national technology initiative, we have planned to organize a street party with different programs that accept entrepreneurs of all ages because our new-generation entrepreneurship programs cover a wide range of entrepreneurs. It will be an end-to-end process, covering support from robotic coding to the support offered in our prototype workshop and even international support. So yes, today we are on the street, but tomorrow we will be on the world stage."
prestigious Game Jam. The Global Game Jam, inspired by the Nordic Game Jam, will be held under the YTU Startup House roof from January 30th to February 5th, 2023.
